Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, vision cleared, ambition inspired, and success achieved. ~Helen Keller

cotton fibers and Autumn pillow
Julie and Mandi gave me these beautiful cotton fibers in the fall of 2007. I used them on this embroidery pattern by CrabApple Hill and made a pillow that Denny and I both love. I entered the pillow in the 2008 Montana State Fair Heirloom Crafts competition and won 2nd prize. :-)

busy, busy, busy
Wow! It's been 4 months since I updated my blog! With Denny's medical situation, I've just been too busy.
I'm on spring break this week, and I'm looking forward to catching up here a bit as well as spring cleaning and visiting with friends.
The birds are chirping joyfully, and the air is clean. I'm going to try to walk every day - with my camera!
Some of these luscious fibers were a gift from my thoughtful sister-in-law Diane. I've been wanting to post pictures of them for a long time!
